Lance Lipinsky was 6 years old when he first "covered" Elvis…white-caped costume and all. Influenced by the Rock & Roll era of the 1950's and 60's, Texas-born Lipinsky preserves the timeless tradition of mid-century American roots music in both his songwriting and powerhouse piano and guitar stage show antics. With his band The Lovers...a showman with a showband… Lipinsky's driving piano rhythms and Presley inspired swagger in his own persona has led him to appearances on both the David Letterman Show and at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN. In addition to starring in over 2500 shows in the TONY award winning Broadway musical "Million Dollar Quartet," Lipinsky was featured in the HBO series "Vinyl" directed by Mick Jagger and Martin Scorsese and was the recipient of the 2017 Ameripolitan Award in the “Male Rockabilly” category.
More than "oldies" or "nostalgia," Lipinsky's devotion to the Roots Music movement remind us that this is not just a mere trend from the past, but a genre that is still alive and well. From Shake, Rattle and Roll to Blueberry Hill and Johnny B Goode...Hand clapping…foot stomping…seat dancing allowed!
